I programmed and operated lighting for all of the artists that participated in the 2026 International Day of Jazz festival. In addition to having a live audience, the show was also broadcast live for UNESCO and YouTube. Utilizing the cyc and scenic fabrics, my programming was able to create distinct looks for each artist while ensuring the show would read well both in person and on camera. With only two days to rehearse the show before the performance and the inherent unpredictability of Jazz, this production demanded programming that was efficient, clean, and adaptable. Additionally, the last rehearsal ended only an hour before doors, creating a significant time pressure on programming. By focusing on a strong base look for each song and implementing busking options over the top of each look, I was able to deliver despite the time constraints.
